Who fancies a sleep in the Bluebells? Wallace Surprise Session

Do you remember a little while ago, I mentioned a babe sleeping in the Bluebells? Well at the time, I couldn't post any images as this Session was done, to provide Daddy with an extra special Fathers Day gift.
Now that Fathers Day has been and gone, Im safe to post some! yay :-)

Caroline, Struan (love the name Mum & Dad!) and 'Nana' met me at the Bluebell Woods by Murthly, although when I arrived the bluebell floor was covered in scattered sunlight - this quickly turned to dark clouds JUST before they arrived :-( Although great to see (of a similar mindsight to myself) a few drops of rain weren't enough to deter us from our walk and giggle in the woods.

Caroline had first been concerned about the possibility of a Bluebell Session as Struan was not yet sitting independently (he is only a wee young thing at 4months). I quickly put any worries at ease, through my experience and training (and the use of some good props!), I can still provide a nice variety of images of your child alone, as well as part of family portrait.

So laden with Umbrella's (most important!) and props, we headed to the woods. Struan's bewilderment at such a place was lovely to see, strangely (as a jaded adult! lol) I kind of feel like this every time I go to the Bluebells. In awe of such a lovely place, each and every time.

Broughty Ferry Sunset Session (Katie, Fraser and Georgia)

I am lucky enough to be capturing Katie and Fraser's big day later this year, so was extra happy when they contacted me to ask for a Family Session prior to this. Providing the same benefits as an Engagement session, it allows couples/families to meet me again, and experience how my sessions and coverage is conducted. Informal, friendly and hopefully always fun!

As the family is based in Dundee, Katie and Fraser decided they would like to have their session at the beach at Broughty Ferry, this being a place they used to stroll with Georgia in the pram often, when she was first born. Although now at 8 months, this was her real first interaction with the beach and sand! :-) Katie confided in me, that it was how quickly and how much Georgia had changed and grown in the previous 8 months that had prompted her to secure a session before the wedding, understanding that these moments are fleeting and wanting to ensure she had them captured.

All in all, I had a great time, meeting the family at their home for a blether :-) then heading straight to the beach for 40 mins to make the most of the evening sun. This evening, we were blessed with one of the warmer, sunnier evenings (again I was sun-dancing the day before!) it really got me in the mood for summer..

Soooo looking forward to seeing you all again shortly for that extra special day of yours.

Kailin Newborn Session (5 Days young)

Introducing Kailin Neveah Lamb at her inhome Newborn Session at only 5 days young, cute enough to eat right? :-) Some new Mum's either want to incorporate their own home in their images or they prefer the ease of conducting a Session at home (i.e. you dont have to even get dressed if you dont want to!).
Kirsty and Craig opted for the at home Session, due to being a busy working mum of El Wedding and Event Management( working for yourself means you have no real maternity leave) and already having an energetic girl, Kaci at home, ready to be a big sister to Kailin, so this proved the best option for them.

Due to Kirsty's business, we had crossed paths before at another event she had hosted - a childrens Halloween Party (she has many tricks up her sleeve, applicable to not only Wedding planning). When she contacted me to book a Session for her upcoming arrival - I always recommend clients book in before baby is born to ensure my availability, as due to the flexibility required I only secure a limited amount of Newborn Sessions each month - I was flattered, due to her industry, Kirsty has contacts with various photographers locally and further afield, yet had entrusted capturing these precious, newborn moments to myself - thanks again guys.

That alone made me smile, then I met Kailin - what a dream! Calm, content, happy to play with me and allow me my newbie cuddles. What a lovely morning at work.......Following are a few images from her session - Enjoy!
