Georgina and Stephen - Summer Garden Wedding of the Year!!

Think beautiful Scottish countryside, by a lovely meandering river (complete with the occasional passing swan! *swoon*) - Golden Sunshine in abundance along with a lot of fine cuisine and wine! When I first discovered that Stephen had been a recent Masterchef contestant/finalist in Australia........my first thoughts were, lucky Georgina - being wined and dined in style each night ;-) AND I cannot WAIT until the wedding meal! :-P

Georgina and Stephen now live in the sunny land of Oz, although as so many of their friends and family are here in Scotland still, they chose to have beautiful, personal Garden Ceremony at Stephens parents home and as you will see, a better day they could not have had! (Who said a 'sundance' won't work) :-)

Both G & S had wanted natural, relaxed photos of their day - neither of them enjoyed having their 'photo taken' (lets face it.....who does really?) and as they were travelling so far, spending quality time with their guests was very important....so apart from their 'couple photos' which they definitely enjoyed!, the day was spent capturing everything as it unfolded naturally - the smiles, happy tears, twinkling eyes, dancing and lots and lots of laughter!

As I have overloaded this blog with images (it was too hard to pick!) I'll let their Gallery tell the rest of their story.............Thank you Georgina and Stephen for inviting me into your beautiful, relaxed day!

Claire and Martin - Shiny Happy People - Summer Wedding -

Two shinier, happier people you could not meet. Even after many years together, Claire and Martin are very much still, the couple madly in love - as you can see from their Gallery. Smiles, sunshine and LOTS of love and laughter.

Their intimate ceremony with family and friends was held at Kinloch House Hotel, Blairgowrie in their Garden Conservatory (the light in there is just great!), where after a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony - they threw back the doors and continued their celebration with their guests in the Scottish sunshine and countryside - and what a view!

Becky and Phillip Johnstone Wedding - Huntingtower Hotel, Perthshire - Wedding Photography Scotland

23rd May 2015 - Huntingtower Hotel - Perth

I met Becky and Phillip just before they embarked on a brand new adventure over the pond in America. As I sat in their living room and heard their plans for returning to Scotland the following year to have their big day day with friends and family, I left hoping I'd get a confirmation call as I knew their day was right up my street - plus I left our meeting feeling like friends (always a good sign!). Shortly after I received a call from Becky, inviting me into one of the most special days in their lives. *happy dance*

During the lead up to their wedding, as they enjoyed the 'American life' (my envy is not coming through I hope?!) ;-) We exchanged lots of emails and polaroids (I told you we 'clicked') about their travels and discoveries and also about the details of the day (I love getting sneak peeks) As it allows me to get to know clients as a couple and individually, these things always help when planning for and documenting each couples unique love story and day.

When Becky and Pip first met initially as colleagues - love at first sight it was not ;-) I think neither of them after that 'not so delightful' first meeting, would have dreamed they would be in the gorgeous, green Perthshire countryside - years later, giving themselves to one another and announcing their love in front of all those dear to them. (I adore the way 'love' works sometimes)

Lynsey and Alan - Carnoustie Golf Hotel - Angie B Photography - Wedding Photographer of the Year 2015 (SWA)

As a lot of you may already know, but my wedding clients often start as clients as finish as friends. Although sometimes Im lucky enough to be invited by 'already friends' ;-) to capture their special moments. As soon as I received a call from Alan, that he had proposed to his 'just as crazy' soulmate - Lynsey in Ibiza, I was super excited to be involved in the day. Knowing this was going to be the party of all 'parties'. I was not disappointed - their Gallery oozes, love, loud laughter, fun and banter!

I arrived early as the girls were all preparing, although Lynsey was being pampered at another location, we all excitedly awaited her arrival, and to put on THE dress! (One of my favourite moments of the day - actually thats not fair the whole day is full of 'favourites')

Alan, was only a short journey away awaiting his wife-to-be at Carnoustie Golf Hotel - again no nerves here just lots of laughter and excitement - and some 'ribbing' from his best man! It wasn't long before Lynsey arrived, her bridesmaid and flowergirls in a lovely vintage bus, and herself and her dad in a complimentary vintage car - just beautiful.

There was a little bit of 'antics' - sticking to tradition Lynsey didnt want 'anyone' to see her until she walked down the aisle - due to some unfortunate timing, that meant a little delay - with her waiting in her bridal car, while her Gran impressively ambled to her venue as quick as she could. Although Lynsey has some funny words of encouragement, her gran's eyes just twinkled - I get the impression shes used to it! :-)

During our pre-wedding meeting I discovered, that there was a possibility I may be the 'weeping photographer' again (That only happened twice!), as Lynsey was so happy and emotional about the day, we all said we expected a few tears from her - then when other people are 'cry-happy' I cant help but get swept up in that. Again another 'favourite' from the day!
After all that expectation, Lynsey rocked up to her Ceremony (literally she danced half her way there..) and there was not one happy tear shed, LOTS of laughter, giggles and smiles in abundance instead!
