Telfer Wedding

Another update to the wedding blog, is the wedding of Amy and Lee Telfer in Perth. After a very rainy July and lead up to their wedding date, the sun shone brightly for them on their special day. I was awaiting both the bride and groom at Perth Registry Office where they exchanged their vows.

Amy arrived excited and full of nerves, a few moments with her sister and bridesmaid helped her to get back on track to enjoying her big day. All nerves dissipated as soon as Amy was in her ceremony room with her groom to be Lee. Unfortunately as kids go to no one elses schedule other than their own, Amy and Lees son Kieran was asleep for the whole ceremony, waking just in time for Mum and Dad to leave, now husband and wife.
A short walk away in the Rodney Gardens provided an ideal backdrop for some fun and intimate photos for the couple, before heading to their reception venue at the Civil Servicemans Club, Perth.

Was great being involved in your day Amy and Lee and meeting your nearest and dearest, what a fun bunch! Wishing you many years of happiness and sunshine together!

Boudoir Sessions

This is Katies Boudoir session she had last year (Thank you Katie for allowing me to share some of your images). There are 'no rules' to a boudoir session, it doesnt have to be done in lingerie etc or done in a bedroom. It more refers to the type of images you want to capture of yourself, the intimate moments into your character. They are about allowing you to feel comfortable in a place and clothing and capturing you at your best.

Also from last year is Elaine's boudoir session, which was great fun to do! Best yet was Elaines response when she saw her final images, she was so happy and said gave her a great ego boost. And lets face it, we can all do with them from time to time!

Urquhart Wedding

After a long delay (Life got in the way!) I am fulfilling a resolution to get up to date with sessions or weddings    I wanted to show you all.

Starting with the wedding of Vicki and Scott, I was truly honoured to be invited to cover their special day for them, within meeting them a handful of times I soon felt like they were friends not clients.

Their wedding took place at the newly renovated Huntingtower Hotel, Perth by a lovely registrar Bill (who i swear had a bit of Robin Williams about him!) Scottish weather was on their side and they managed to have their personal, intimate ceremony outside in this gorgeous countryside under our scottish skies.

As the photographer you are normally privy to the details of the day that other guests have to wait to discover. Vicki and Scott had lots of meaningful, unique moments in their day. They previously took a journey down to the River Tay and collected stones for their guests, to hold during their ceremony then return to a well at the end of their aisle, fully imprinted with all the love, luck and good wishes that all their guests wanted for them.

Vicki and Scott adored their venue because of the grounds and the wonderful trees within them. So it was fitting that they incorporated this theme into their day, I loved their idea of having a print of a tree sketching and ink, and asking all their guests to leave their fingerprints (and initials) on their print, combined they all made the 'leaves' on the tree, Super Super idea, and what a great memento to have of their day. Beats a guest book any day!
